A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting
You will be able to create a catch-all email mailbox without difficulty if you have a shared web hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet very simple to work with, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you will see a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking it once more will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
A catch-all address can be set up with several mouse clicks if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses under any domain hosted here. To activate the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you’ll have to click the button with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Deactivating the feature can be achieved in the exact same way and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all option has already been activated for a given domain name, you will receive a warning notice. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never replace or disable any feature automatically.
