Access Log Manager
What's the purpose of the Access Log Manager? What type of information will it provide you with?
An access log is a text file which contains an extensive report on all of the files accessed by your site visitors. All the files which were requested in one way or another shall be included, so if you have a PHP script program and a site visitor opens just the home page, for example, you may find many files in the log. It is because there are things on the home page that are embedded - parts of other Internet pages, pictures, etcetera. These files shall be listed in the access log, so you can get a detailed picture of the way your website functions. The information is in plain text format, so the logs are occasionally termed "raw data" too. An access log shows the name of every requested file, the path to it, the date it was accessed, in addition to the user’s IP address, browser and Operating System. More info, like the referrer site, is typically included too. A log file can be processed by various desktop programs for statistical purposes as an addition to the web statistics supplied by your web server.

Access Log Manager in Shared Web Hosting
Our custom-built Hepsia CP includes a section focused on various logs and the access logs are among them. As soon as you sign in to your
shared web hosting account and go to this section, you will find a list of all the domains and subdomains which you have. All it takes to permit the generation of access logs is to click on a button that will be available next to each domain/subdomain. When the option is active, you will see a download link and also the file size so far, so you'll be able to save the file to your PC and look at it or process it with some application. Enabling or disabling the logs becomes effective instantaneously, so if you no longer require one, you may stop it with only a mouse click from the same exact section of the CP. You shall still be able to access the already generated content by simply clicking the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you have a
semi-dedicated server account with our company, it shall not take more than a couple of clicks to permit the generation of access logs by our system if you need them. The function could be activated from the Hepsia website hosting Control Panel and this may be done individually for each and every domain or subdomain which you have inside your account. When you log in and check out the Access/Error Logs section of the Control Panel, you will see a list of all the hostnames with an On/Off button next to each of them. A single click will trigger the log generation and another one will deactivate it, so you can control this feature with great convenience. A Download link in the same section will enable you to save the created content as a text file, that you could then use on your computer system. Whether or not the logs are deactivated, you'll still be able to download the data which has been previously generated.
